MAIS Lab welcomes undergraduate interns and graduate students who want to grow at the intersection of chemical engineering, computational materials science, and artificial intelligence.
We are building a lab culture that is autonomous, warm, rigorous, and collaborative. Students are encouraged to think independently, communicate openly, and develop research skills step by step.
No. Coding experience is helpful, but it is not required.
If you are willing to learn, you can build coding, simulation, and AI skills in the lab. What matters most is sincerity, responsibility, and the ability to communicate.
- State-of-the-art AI techniques
- Machine learning interatomic potentials (MLIPs)
- Large language model(LLM)-based research (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude)
- Agentic AI orchestration
- Generative AI (e.g. MatterGen)
- Density functional theory (DFT), Molecular dynamics (MD)
- Data mining and literature extraction
- Materials design for sensors, batteries, electrocatalysts, seimconductors and composites
If you are interested in joining MAIS Lab, please send an email with a brief introduction, your research interests, your transcript and your CV if available.
